In 2005 in Lanai, Hawaii, Katie began doing yoga and has been deepening her journey ever since. She is 200-hr RYT certified and will graduate with her advanced 500 hour RYT certification this fall. Katie’s approach to yoga is using pranayama and posture alignment to help her students come to a place of complete awareness with one’s self, internally and externally. Her classes cater to all levels and creates a safe and encouraging environment for students to explore and deepen their practice. In order for students to honor their limits, Katie provides modifications for all poses to stay clear of injury. Most of all – she makes sure students feel good and have fun – leaving the mat clear, refreshed and relaxed!
